Frequently asked questions
How do I request hosting in Discord?
Join the official server and complete its membership screening. In an accessible channel that permits application commands, type /request-hosting, select the Hinder’s hosting command from the menu and submit it. Open the private link it returns within 30 minutes. A hidden Host an Instance category is not required if the command is permitted in your visible channel. If it does not appear, check server membership and ask staff to check the command/channel permissions.
Fill out the website form with your group, profile, email and event details, your adult declaration and the required agreements. Verify your email, then wait for reviewer approval. The approval email explains your personal code and expiry. Full steps: How to Apply — Hosting.
Why does hosting say my event is more than 24 hours away?
A hosting code expires 24 hours after you submit its application, including verification and approval time. Submit within 24 hours of your event start so the code can cover it. The form shows the earliest time to apply, in your browser’s timezone, and keeps your entries if submission fails. A rejected date does not use the private link; that link still has its original 30-minute expiry. If it expires, request a fresh link with /request-hosting.
This hosting limit is separate from future staff hiring: an approved group owner can schedule an event and hire staff ahead of time through the staff dashboard.
For birth dates on a phone or in-app browser, choose the birth month and type the day and four-digit year. Read the selected birth date underneath before submitting; today’s date is never chosen automatically.
How do I apply to Hinder’s Lounge?
Use /request-staff in the public Hinder’s Staff application channel in Hinder’s Nightclub Discord. Open the private website link, choose HinderMeNot — Hinder’s Lounge, select your role, complete the application and agree to the current Terms and rules. Save your Application ID and verify your email.
HinderMeNot schedules your group interview at Hinder’s Nightclub. Your email and application status show its date, timezone and arrival instructions. The owner must confirm you completed the interview before hiring you. Wait for the hiring decision.
Can applicants join the private staff groups?
Applicants can join the public Discord server and use its application channel. They cannot join the invite-only Hinder’s Staff VRChat group or get the dedicated private Discord staff role through applying or interviewing. After hiring, private Discord access is granted and HinderMeNot sends the VRChat group invitation separately. Accept that invitation in VRChat. Applicants who are not hired receive neither staff access.
HinderMeNot supplies an accessible interview instance invitation; you do not need private staff-group membership to attend the interview.
What if I work for another group?
Your group owner needs an active approved hosting window. Use /request-staff, choose Another group with active hosting and select your exact group. Its owner privately reviews your application. That approval does not make you Hinder’s Lounge staff. Existing group staff also apply when requesting venue roles or independent Super Admin hosting access.
What information is collected? Is my birthday public?
Applications ask for your contact/profile details, Discord identity, declared age and birth month/year, consent, role or event information and relevant experience. The complete birth date is checked for your 18th birthday and discarded. Email and birth information are not sent into public photo galleries or world role rosters. Read Privacy for review access, providers, security records and retention.
A verified email and declared birthday do not independently verify age or legal identity. The service does not investigate private identities, addresses or phone numbers from an email address.
How do I check status or recover my Application ID?
Use Staff Sign In with your staff Application ID and the email used to apply. Open the private email link. Use /my-staff-applications in Discord to recover your IDs privately. For hosting IDs, check your verification or approval email. Never post IDs, codes or private links in public channels.
How does HinderMeNot schedule a group interview and hire staff?
Open HinderMeNot’s permanent owner account and use Email my owner access link with your configured owner email. After verification, choose Review staff & staffing events. Owner access does not require a hosting application or VIP purchase. On the owner dashboard, choose verified pending applicants, set a date/time, duration and meeting instructions, then select Schedule group interview. Each applicant gets their own email; other applicants’ contact details are not included.
After the interview, review each applicant individually, confirm identity, consent and interview completion, and choose Hire or Deny. Hiring grants the dedicated Discord staff role. Open the hired applicant’s VRChat profile and the staff group’s Invites page to send their group invitation, then record that it was sent. The website does not log into your VRChat account or send that invitation automatically.
Why does owner sign-in say Access denied?
Other-group owners must use the network address used for their hosting application. HinderMeNot’s owner network is registered on the first verified sign-in. A changed connection, VPN or different network may require owner support. This protects private applicant reviews. Sign-in links are single-use and expire; request a fresh link if needed.
How long do codes and applications last?
Current hosting windows last 24 hours from submission; review time counts. Other-group staff approval access and codes end at the same deadline. Hinder’s Lounge Super Admin codes end no later than the staff application’s 24-hour deadline, even if replaced. Hosting and staff applications expire 24 hours after submission and are removed from the active database by scheduled cleanup. New code requests cannot extend that deadline. See Privacy for the complete current retention details.
Does selecting a role give me VIP or recording access?
No. Owner approval is required for venue roles, VRChat group permissions are separately administered, and VIP and recording packages are separate. The Store identifies planned features. An unavailable checkout means the package is not yet available to purchase.
What are the production and visitor rules?
Staff, Producers, Super Admins and group owners must keep production adult-only and exclude NSFW, SPS, nudity, child-related, offensive/controversial, illegal and otherwise prohibited content. Notify participants and obtain the necessary recording permissions. Visitors are asked to follow the posted venue guidance and cooperate with moderation. Read the current rules before applying.
How do I request a correction or removal of my information?
Contact HinderMeNot privately through the official Discord; for another group’s application, also contact that group owner. We may verify that the request is yours using your application email or Discord identity. Do not put private application information in a public help message. Retention limits and provider-held copies are explained in Privacy.
What does free hosting include?
Approved group owners use the hosting code at the entrance, then again in the office for their Super Admin menu and Pickups. Main stage use, furniture, drinks, paraphernalia, public games and media remain free. Hide & Go Seek is VIP only. Staff members apply and need their group’s approval.
How are VIP and production different?
Hosting and Super Admin do not grant VIP. A separate VIP code unlocks VIP entry, the VIP menu and VIP role delegation. VIP Tier 1 includes the VIP neighborhood/city buildings and Hide & Go Seek, without production cameras. VIP Tier 2 adds VIP cameras limited to VIP and the neighborhood/city. Only the timed VIP Production Package permits both Main and VIP camcorders throughout the entire world, including jail. Existing travel permissions and jailed visitors’ audio/effect restrictions still apply. Prices are listed in the Store: Tier 1 $9.99/month, Tier 2 $19.99/month, and full-venue production $9.99/4 hours, $14.99/8 hours or $19.99/12 hours. One-time passes use your active member account and chosen event window. Completed matching Square payments are verified before personal codes, instructions and the private website receipt are delivered automatically. Check the Store’s current purchase availability before planning a paid event. Monthly plans include a once-only free month; choose a payment method and review signup in the Store.
New to your personal menu?
Welcome to the team! Start with the personal menu and role guide: how to open and scroll, what every top tab does, how staff profiles and Visitor Roles work, and the first steps for each role. Producer does not inherit Dancer or any other staff role. Production sign-in and Record/OBS are separate jobs.
Staff oversight and hiring
Every staff role keeps Moderation, player profiles, role information and staff calls. Admin, Super Admin and Security can admit/revoke club entry. Only Super Admin grants or revokes roles; VIP delegation still needs approved subscriber access.
Group owners are strongly encouraged to use the website staff application process for every employee, including existing employees. Application IDs, owner sign-in and approval records help the venue and group owner identify their approved team. They do not constitute a complete log of every visitor entering or leaving a VRChat instance.
Payments, receipts and subscriptions
What does assistance cost?
Assisted OBS/Producer Companion setup is $35/hour. Operated recording/broadcasting is $40/hour, with a 2-hour ($80) minimum. Arrange availability, scope and hours with HinderMeNot before paying the agreed Square invoice. OBS and the Companion themselves are free. Cloud PC, bandwidth and storage are quoted separately.
Why might Square show WebTech n’Go?
WebTech N’Go Corp., based in Akron, Ohio, United States, is the seller for Hinder’s Nightclub purchases. WebTech n’Go is its Square seller account name. Prices are in USD, and any applicable tax and total are shown before payment. Square handles payment details. When purchases are open, start your one-time pass from the account-bound Store form. Choose your own event start and duration; no personal event confirmation from HinderMeNot is required. The website verifies the completed matching Square order before emailing your code, instructions and private receipt link. Monthly subscription signup is not open until recurring billing, cancellation and paid-period access are connected.
Does VIP renew, and how do I stop payments?
VIP Tier 1 is $9.99/month and Tier 2 is $19.99/month. When subscription checkout opens, the selected plan renews monthly until canceled. Use Manage subscription in your Square subscription confirmation before the next renewal, or contact HinderMeNot privately for help. Canceling stops future charges; paid-period access continues subject to hosting and venue rules. No extra per-instance subscription fee is charged. One approved group owner and one active approved group instance at a time are included.
Can I return a purchase or get a refund?
All sales are final; no returns or refunds, except where required by applicable law. Unused time, unused passes and a change of mind do not receive a discretionary refund. Canceling does not refund earlier charges or prorate a paid period. Report unauthorized, duplicate or incorrect charges privately so we can investigate.
How do I get a receipt?
Provide an accurate email at Square checkout. Square supplies your payment confirmation and digital receipt. Keep them for the plan, dates, hours and total. Unsubscribing from receipt emails only stops those emails; it does not cancel your subscription. Use Manage subscription to stop renewals.
When does a production pass start?
A pass covers the event activation window you select: 4, 8 or 12 consecutive hours, with the same features. Late arrival does not restart the clock. The selected pass must fit within your approved hosting window. Hosting applications, visitor/local settings and Main activities remain free.
Read the Store billing details, purchase Terms and payment Privacy notice.
Accounts, instructions and support
How do I reach the store?
Complete a free hosting application, receive approval and keep the Application ID. Register with that ID, exact VRChat name, matching application email and the same Discord account. Verify the email link to activate and sign in. The store requires an active member account.
How does HinderMeNot open the owner account?
Use Owner account and its owner verification button. The configured owner email receives a single-use 30-minute access link that returns to the owner hub. From there, review Hinder’s Lounge staff, interviews and event rosters, open private member files and receipts, manage Production, and check Discord/Square settings. HinderMeNot’s permanent owner permissions are separate from ordinary member purchases and hosting applications.
Do I confirm every event with HinderMeNot?
No. Your approved account provides hosting permission for permitted instances. You run your own PC and event. Hundreds of separate instances are not a personal booking with the venue owner. Optional human setup or operated-production services need their own agreed schedule.
Where are my instructions and code?
Application and registration emails link to the welcome package. Verified purchases include the personal code, paid window and private website receipt. Read the complete OBS and Companion guide to capture picture and sound, record, stream and find files. A checkout redirect alone does not issue access.
Where can I get help?
Use the appropriate Nightclub, Lounge or Staff private Discord support ticket. Staff support is available to applicants. General and Memories channels are for conversation and sharing with permission, not private billing or application information.
What happens to my application information?
Private applications and review details expire after 24 hours. Registering creates a separately consented minimal member account. The owner’s alphabetical member file combines that account and receipts; it does not preserve expired private answers.
These account instructions replace older personal event-confirmation and manual-activation steps. Checkout availability still depends on the Square connection and published world access.
Free month, renewals, automatic payments and cancellation
New verified members receive one free calendar month on VIP Tier 1 or VIP Tier 2, once across both tiers. After the displayed trial end, Tier 1 is $9.99 USD/month and Tier 2 is $19.99 USD/month plus applicable tax. The signup review shows the tax total, first paid date and payment method before you agree. Square stores renewal cards and processes payments; Hinder’s website does not store card numbers or security codes.
In My account → Subscriptions, enable automatic payments to authorize recurring card charges, or disable them to receive monthly Square invoices for manual payment. Disabling automatic payments does not unsubscribe. Pay a manual invoice on its renewal date. One unpaid renewal suspends subscription services until verified payment: new event codes cannot be issued, and subscription-derived venue and production access cannot continue beyond the verified trial or paid period. Independent one-time passes retain their own paid expiry dates.
Unsubscribe in your account stops future renewals and charges; current verified trial or paid access remains until its displayed end. Cancel before the free month ends to stop the first paid renewal. Billing controls remain available if venue access is suspended. All sales are final; no returns or refunds for unused time, unused passes or changes of mind, except where required by applicable law. Contact private support if you cannot sign in or need help cancelling.
Use HINDERS25 once on your first one-time production pass, eligible for any of the 4-, 8- or 12-hour durations. The discount is 25% of the pass price before tax. It does not apply to subscriptions or human services, cannot be combined with another discount, and does not repeat on another duration. An abandoned checkout does not use the offer: cancel the unused checkout in My account before choosing another duration. A completed refunded purchase still counts as a first purchase.
Private codes, approved groups and code abuse
Every code is personal. Never give out, post, sell, lend or transfer an entrance, hosting, VIP or production code. Use your exact registered VRChat display name and the group approved on your hosting account. Subscribers use the same approved hosting account, with the additional features included in their tier; subscriptions do not transfer group ownership or platform permissions.
In My account → Generate your next access code, an approved regular host can request a 24-hour hosting code. A current subscriber can request a 12-hour hosting code and their tier’s separate VIP code, capped at the verified trial or paid billing end. Only one unexpired code of each kind can be issued to a recognized person. A second request is denied until the current code expires, including attempts from another account with the same verified Discord identity or VRChat name. Cancelling an event or revoking a code does not bypass its original lock expiry. Independent production passes retain their purchased time window.
Codes are tied to your registered VRChat name and stored with your approved group. Another VRChat name cannot redeem your code. Current technical limit: the installed world SDK does not expose the instance’s actual group to these keypads; group use is an enforced account/approval rule, not yet an automatic in-world group comparison. Do not use a code to open another group’s instance. Contact support before a legitimate username or group change.
Confirmed code misuse or abuse may result in a permanent Hinder’s Nightclub ban and blacklist of the associated email, VRChat username, Discord identity and group names/IDs. Creating new identities or groups to evade a ban is prohibited. Newly confirmed aliases are added to the same restriction; the system does not automatically identify an unknown person behind completely different accounts. No account deletion removes a permanent ban. Private support and restriction review.
One month to recover an unpaid subscription
Manual payment: open My account → Subscriptions and choose Pay renewal invoice. Square takes the payment securely; your website receipt and verified access update in the account. No payment is due during the free month.
One unpaid monthly renewal suspends subscription services immediately; it does not immediately remove your hosting account. You have one calendar month from the unpaid billing boundary to sign in, pay the outstanding Square invoice, manage automatic payments or unsubscribe. Verified payment within that period restores the eligible subscription and clears the recovery deadline. My account and the payment email show the exact deadline.
After the deadline, future automatic billing is stopped and the usable account, sign-in sessions, email association, usernames, group profile, codes and private member history are cleared from the active website database. The old profile cannot be restored. An independent active paid pass delays cleanup until its purchased window ends. Voluntarily unsubscribing from a current paid period does not itself trigger unpaid-account deletion.
Account loss does not prohibit a new hosting application. An unbanned applicant may use the same email with a new approved application and verify a new account. Required financial records, Square’s own records, minimal permanent-ban records and provider backup retention are exceptions to immediate deletion; the website does not promise that every copy is instantly erased forever. Ohio sales records are retained for at least four years, or longer when required. Blacklisted identities cannot create a new account to evade their restriction.
Existing codes and a new production checkout
A one-time checkout reserves the next VIP/production code slot so another code cannot be generated while that checkout is awaiting payment. If you already have an unexpired VIP code, wait for its expiry before opening a new production checkout. Cancel an unused checkout in My account to release its reservation. Existing hosting codes remain usable until their own expiry; a paid pass does not rotate them early.
If Square has ended a subscription, My account shows Restart this subscription. Returning members do not receive another free month. Pay its new renewal invoice from My account to restore eligible services within the account recovery period.
Verified staff accounts
Approved hires can create their own account with their approved staff Application ID and matching verified application email within 24 hours. If an already-hired person’s application was removed, the approving group owner can prepare an invitation in My account → Staff accounts. The hire uses /staff-account in the venue Discord to receive a private 30-minute signup link, enters an email they control, accepts account Terms/Privacy, and verifies the email. The owner does not need to know that email.
A verified staff account retains its identity and minimal approved role/group assignments separately from the application’s private answers. Hinder’s Lounge ongoing assignments last until revoked; scheduled assignments end with their event. Unclaimed recovery invitations expire after seven days. Staff accounts do not expire merely because an application expires. Staff can see their own assignments and codes; they do not receive group-owner authority, other applicants’ information or the host’s billing.
Only Super Admin staff approved to open instances can generate hosting codes. Host-paid VIP and production codes require that approving host’s active subscription or an active paid one-time pass, inherit only that tier and remaining window, and stop when the approval is revoked, payment is overdue, the host account becomes unavailable or the pass ends. Every staff member gets a separate code bound to their exact VRChat display name and approved group. No code replacement before expiry. Current world code checks the entering player’s display name; it does not verify the actual instance group ID or immutable VRChat user identity.
